My Path of Art and Purpose: From Inspiration to Transformation

Ellie Sa is an Iranian-Canadian artist and designer based in Toronto, with a background in architecture and industrial design from OCAD University. She has always had a passion for creating with her hands, exploring the potential of materials—especially wood—to craft unique, modern pieces infused with culture and nostalgia. A lover of animals and nature, Ellie draws inspiration from the natural world in her work. Though she is well-versed in computer software, her true love lies in the hands-on process of woodworking and multimedia art. This passion inspired her to launch the “Ellie Sa” brand, where she brings together craftsmanship and creativity to give new life to everyday objects.

Reviving Stories in Wood

Ellie’s mission is to make art accessible while promoting the beauty of sustainability. She focuses on renewing, restoring, and transforming furniture and other wood items, aiming to keep them out of landfills and in homes for generations to come. Each piece she creates is made with love, care, and attention to detail, reflecting her belief that art should be both affordable and cherished. Through her brand, she hopes to share her love of handmade design and the joy it can bring to any space.
